Your Pet’s Health, Our Priority

Vaccinations That Keep Pets Safe and Healthy

It often starts with a curious nose, a wagging tail, or a pair of wide, trusting eyes looking up at you. Pets have a way of capturing our hearts from the very beginning, and from that moment on, all we want to do is protect them.

Vaccinations are one of the most important ways to keep your cat or dog protected from common but serious illnesses. At Village Vets, we believe prevention is always better than cure, and that begins with making sure your pet gets the right vaccines at the right time. Whether you have a playful puppy, a curious kitten, or a senior pet enjoying their golden years, staying on top of their vaccinations is key to giving them a longer and healthier life.

We provide personalised vaccination plans for cats and dogs, based on their age, medical history, and lifestyle. Every pet is different, which is why we take the time to understand their unique needs before recommending a schedule. Our friendly team is here to guide you through each step and make every visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible for both you and your pet.

From the first friendly hello to the last gentle pat before you leave, our goal is to make every appointment calm and stress-free for both you and your pet. We take the time to explain everything clearly so that you never leave with unanswered questions.

Why Routine Vaccinations Matter?

It usually happens quietly. A pet who seems fine suddenly becomes lethargic or starts showing signs you do not recognise. The truth is, many illnesses can spread quickly and stay hidden until they become serious.

Vaccinations protect pets from a range of infectious diseases, many of which can lead to long-term health problems or even become life-threatening. Keeping up with regular boosters not only protects your own pet, it also helps to reduce the risk of disease spreading among other animals in the community.

Here are some of the key illnesses we vaccinate against:

These diseases can be severe and often unpredictable. The good news is that routine vaccinations offer strong protection and are quick and easy to administer. At Village Vets, we make sure your pet gets exactly what they need without anything unnecessary.

Our Clients Love Village Vets

At Village Vets, we’re proud to be a multi-award-winning veterinary practice, recognised for our exceptional care, compassionate service, and commitment to your pets’ well-being.

What to Expect During Your Visit

If your pet has ever hesitated at the door of the vet practice or clung to you just a little tighter, you are not alone. We understand that visits can be a little nerve-racking, especially for shy or anxious pets.

When you bring your pet in for their vaccination, we start with a full health check. This gives us a chance to make sure your pet is in good condition and that there are no signs of underlying issues. It is also a great opportunity to discuss any concerns or questions you may have.

After the health check, we administer the recommended vaccines and let you know when your pet will be due for their next one. We also keep a record for you, so you never have to worry about forgetting important dates.

We take a gentle and calm approach during every appointment. Whether it is your pet’s first vaccination or just a routine booster, we do everything we can to keep them relaxed and comfortable.

Ready to Book Your
Pet’s Vaccination?

Frequently Asked Questions

Vaccinations protect your pet from serious and sometimes life-threatening illnesses. They also help stop diseases from spreading to other animals in the community. Even if your pet seems healthy, regular vaccines are an important part of keeping them safe.

Puppies and kittens usually start their vaccines at around eight weeks old, with follow-up doses spaced over the next few weeks. Adult dogs and cats need annual boosters to keep their protection up to date. We will create a personalised plan to suit your pet’s needs.

For dogs, we protect against diseases such as distemper, parvovirus, leptospirosis, hepatitis, and kennel cough. For cats, we vaccinate against herpesvirus, calicivirus, panleukopenia, and, depending on lifestyle, feline leukaemia virus.

Yes. All annual vaccinations and boosters for both cats and dogs are included in the VIP plan, along with other essential treatments and benefits.

Yes. Every vaccination appointment begins with a full health check to make sure your pet is in good condition and ready for their vaccine. This also gives you a chance to ask us any questions about their health.

If your pet is overdue, we can safely get them back on track with a catch-up plan. Our team will guide you through the process so they are fully protected again as soon as possible.
