Pet Parasites: What’s your pet bringing home and what are they sharing with you?….Fleas

Fleas

If you have a pet then you probably
know about fleas, right? Everyone
worries about fleas! They may be the
most common parasite we see in our
pets, but fleas are far from alone.
There’s a whole word of micro beasts
that could be making themselves at home in and on your pet, and some of them
can infect YOU as well. So let’s talk about who might be hiding on your pet and
how you can keep your family safe.

We’ll start on the outside with fleas, ticks and mites, then work our way in to
cover worms and protozoa (what even is that?). Is your skin crawling yet???

Also, if you think your indoor cat is safe from parasites, then think again! Read
on to learn how crafty little parasites are even able to infect pets that never step
foot outside and never meet another animal.
