Ensure Your Pet’s Well-Being with Timely Prescriptions & Food Orders
At Village Vets, we are committed to making the process of obtaining your pet’s repeat prescriptions and food orders as smooth and convenient as possible.
Please allow 72 hours for any requests to be checked, ordered and ready for collection. If medication is required urgently for any reason, please get in touch with us.
Options for Your Medications
Dispensed by Us
- You can have your pet's medication directly dispensed by Village Vets.
- This is the standard method and involves collecting the medication from our practice.
Written Prescription
- If you prefer, we can provide a written prescription which can be filled by another veterinary surgeon or pharmacy of your choice.
- A prescription may not be appropriate if your pet is an inpatient or if immediate treatment is necessary.
- There is a charge for providing written prescriptions. Current charges are as follows:
• £25 for one (initial) item
• £12.50 per additional medication ordered at the same time

The same regulations apply for both: the animal must be under our care and the vet or pharmacist must dispense the veterinary licensed product. Our under care policy is to re-examine our patients at least every 3 months when on long term medication. Don’t worry though, as a VIP member these consultations are all included.
For controlled drugs we can legally only prescribe a maximum of a one month supply.
